2019 Firecracker Swap Meet

Roadrunner Scale Classic 2019
The 2019 scale meet will again be held the weekend after Labor Day, September 5-7.

2019 - High Desert Jet Fly-In
ARCC's second Jet Fly-In will be held October 16-19, 2019. All jets are welcome and there will be Pilots Choice awards for the best electric and turbine powered jets.
We will also have a Saturday night awards dinner (free for pilots).

The Albuquerque Radio Control Club is now 60 years old. We do our flying at the George Maloof Memorial Field on the west side of Albuquerque.
Charlie Palmer Wins At Top Gun
Charlie took Best WWII Military for his great looking Fieseler Storch. Top Gun was held the first weekend in May in Lakeland Florida. The Storch is the FIRST scale model Charlie has ever made!! Stan Johnson had the task of flying the model and also did a great job. Congratulations to both of them.
Heli Pad Area Cleaned!
The good folks at the Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Department have been at it again. They have cleaned up the Heli Pad area, making it once again usable. Thanks for a job well done.
Awning Has Been Repaired
The Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Department has had the awning at the Maloof field repaired. We thank them for taking care of this repair.
Awning To Be Fixed
The City of Albuquerque has hired a contractor to fix the broken awning at the Maloof Airpark. The work is suppose to take place mid-morning on July 14. We wish to thank the City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Department for fixing this problem.
Maloof Renovation has Started
The pictures shown here were taken Thursday February 9. The first picture is work being done on the north end overrun. The excess dirt will be spread to the west of the field.
The last picture shows how the runway is being crushed. You will not be able to see clearly but the crusher takes up the asphalt to its full depth to the underlaying soil.
The Maloof Air Park will be closed from January 30 to February 24 for runway renovation. We want to thank the City of Albuquerque for starting phase 1 of a master plan to completely renovate the air park.
